About Us

In 1976, the business pioneer Mr. Chandicharan Ghosh opened a small shop near Bagnan railway station and started the sweets business. However, two years later, in 1978, the shop was destroyed by a devastating flood.

However, due to Mr. Chandicharan Ghosh’s indomitable spirit, he opened a new shop on Kharinan OT Road in 1978 after the situation normalized. Since he made the sweets himself, he managed the shop with just one artisan.

Mr. Chandicharan Ghosh’s two sons, Vishwajeet Ghosh and Prasenjeet Ghosh, began gradually getting involved in the business during their student years. After completing their studies, both brothers took on the responsibility of the business. Prasenjeet always thought about how to elevate the business to new heights. Therefore, he started producing sweets using high-quality buffalo and cow milk sourced from outside.

Through many new ideas, they reinvented the delicious sweet yogurt in a new form. This sweet yogurt is now famous everywhere as ‘Khirdahi.’ After completing his studies, Vishwajeet started inventing new varieties of Sandesh and fusion sweets. This way, by combining quality and service, we began to make a place in the hearts of our customers.

This is just the beginning of our journey, and in this way, by using one innovative idea after another, we will be able to create even more new types of sweets and secure a place in the hearts of our customers. Currently, sweets like Kesar Pista Bhog, Ras Kalakand, Malai Tooda, Hot Milk Cake, Lemon Barfi, Butterscotch Sandesh, Kalakand, Kaju Pista Dilkhush, Nalini, Malai Barfi, Aabar Khabo, Sun Cake, Rice Ball, Kaju Katli, Kesar Malai Chamcham have made a unique place in the hearts of our customers. Along with Khirdahi, Aam Dahi, and Baked Rasgulla, ‘Sheetla’ also offers various types of sweets for every season.

Currently, our shop has entered its 48th year. Initially, everyone viewed a sweet shop from a different perspective, but now ‘New Sheetla Misthan Bhandar’ has managed to elevate it to a whole new level. With the blessings of our parents, the grace of God and our customers, and the hard work of all our staff, we have transformed the sweet shop into a large factory.
